GLAM GLOW SUPER-MUD CLEARING MASK REVIEW

I feel like iv'e abandoned my blog over the past month or so but i'm back now and it has given me a chance to plan a whole load of posts to do over the next month and the run up to Christmas, i'm going to have a lot to talk about and i'm excited to get back into the swing of things!

Anyway today i wanted to kick off by doing a review on a face mask that i have recently purchased and have absolutely fallen in love with, the face mask everybody is talking about the 'glam glow' clearing treatment.
I purchased mine from feel unique for £39.99 after hearing a lot of good things about it.

So where do i begin? this face mask claims to deal with pores, problem skin, blemishes, pimples, breakouts, zits, spots, blackheads & whiteheads. razor bumps and in-grown hair. Everything i need!

Once applied the mask will start to dry, feeling tight and slightly tingly, which tells me its doing it job! As you can see from my close up it really gets to work drawing out the clogged up oils in your pores to the surface, and removing unnecessary oils from zits and blemishes.

You may think that after 20 minuets of having a dry face mask on your skin would feel dry when you washed it off too, but in fact it leaves your skin feeling smooth to touch, refreshed and clean. My pored where visibly smaller and any redness around my blemishes had pretty much gone.

Another thing i love about this product is that you can use it just as a spot treatment too, so if you don't feel like you need to treat your whole face. just dab a small amount on a spot or problemed area and let it get to work.

I'd say this face mask is definitely worth the investment if you are looking for something that will cover pretty much any problem you may have with your skin, You really are paying for good quality with this one!

Hope this helped!

REVIEW: NIC'S PICKS REAL TECHNIQUE BRUSHES

I am such a massive fan of Real techniques brushes and have been for a while, so i was so excited to get my hands on this new collection of Nic's picks. In my opinion Real techniques just ALWAYS deliver the best quality brushes and get it right every time! I already have Sam's picks, which she released last year which were amazing so i just knew this collection would match up.

Nic's Picks consists of 5 brushes, 3 of which are exclusive to the set.

Duo-fiber face brush: (which i think may be my favorite) to be used with powders such as loose powder, highlighter or even blush. So soft on the skin and leaves a flawless finish.

Cheek brush: An exclusive, very similar to the expert face brush only this one is slightly more dense and shaped thinner, which makes it great for things like contouring and building pigment.

Angled shadow brush: Another exclusive. I love this brush too. Its angled shape makes it perfect for building up eyeshadow in the crease and blending.

Base shadow brush: This brush is perfect for patting or blending eyeshadow all over the lid. It's slightly tapered and very soft and fluffy.

Eyeliner brush: The last exclusive brush of the collection. This is perfectly thin and angled for applying either gel or powder liner, you could even use this to fill in your brows.

Over all i am so happy with this collection and would definitely recommend. I think they would make a lovely Christmas present for a friend or even just a treat to yourself!

L'OREAL INFALLIBLE 24HR REVIEW

I am most definitely a fan of L'Oreal foundations, in particular the L'Oreal true match which i have been using for a few years now, I've just always found that it was the best drugstore foundation so far so when i came across their newest foundation the infallible 24hr i wanted to  give it a go.
I've been using this foundation now for the past week just to try it out, and be sure that i like it and i have to say I've come to love it.

When comparing it to 'True Match' i'd say this one is much thicker, and just a tiny bit more coverage, but it blends easily enough and doesn't feel heavy on the skin which i enjoy in a foundation. It comes in i think around 8 shades and i bought the shade 'golden sand'.

In the pictures above i have not set powder over the foundation just to show exactly how it applies. It claims to cover dark circles, but i don't find that it covers mine quite enough so i put a touch of concealer under my eyes. All in all i would definitely recommend this, especially if your on a budget or just want a drugstore foundation similar to MAC, which i would say this very much is!

I can't tell you if it really does stay put for 24hrs like it says as i just have not tried, but i would definitely be interested to know if anyone has tried haha!

BALENCIAGA SS15

I've been a fan of  Balenciaga for a while now, worn by my all time style icon Kim K often, i am just always wowed by the sheer simplicity yet elegance of all their peices, So as you can imagine when i saw Balenciaga's collection for SS15 once again i was impressed and just needed to talk about it!

The colours from the show where kept minimal, mainly being blacks, whites and neutrals, with styles ranging from beautifully tailored floor length jackets to long net and mesh dresses, which i must add are my favorite! Some models where seen wearing these sci-fi type of glasses and sharp pointed shoes to complete the chic look.

The overall vibe from the show was futuristic and modern and who better to be in the front row than my favourite, Kim Kardashian alongside Kanye and North, Of course all dressed in Balenciaga and once again pulling it off incredibly.

BRINGING OUT THE WINTER COAT

So the temperatures really starting to drop here in the UK and although i will miss summer i just could not wait to whip out my favorite winter jacket. I actually purchased this jacket last winter from Topshop and i think i will get a lot of wear from it this winter too. Unfortunately they don't sell this jacket anymore although i have linked a similar one.
As you might already be able to tell i do love basic minimal clothing, such as plain tees and jeans because with a pair of minimal heels thrown in you can look as dressy or as casual as you like.

I am also going to occasionally add my make-up look after each post, and try to cooperate my passion for makeup into my blog a bit more now, so today i have left my MUOTD (make-up of the day) below and i am looking forward to posting some autumn/winter looks soon too so keep an eye out!

REVIEW: SIMPLE DEEP CLEANSING FACE MASK AND SOOTHING EYE BALM

I am trying to keep up with doing more fashion related posts but saying that i do like to talk about a good beauty product when i find one.

So i wanted to talk about first of all the Simple deep cleansing face mask, i love trying out new face masks, so i always switch them up, this one is for sensitive skin and it is one i have been using all the time at the moment. It claims to 'draw out deep down dirt and eliminate dead cells' and it does just that. You leave it on for 3 minuets each time and use it twice a week. My skin feels just feels lovely and clean after using this and you can buy it from superdrug for just £1.98, so its really worth trying,

Secondly I'm trying out in partner with the face mask, the Simple soothing eye balm. I don't really tent to buy eye creams/gels if they are really under priced because as they say with eye products, you pay for the quality, but i ran out of the original one i was using so i thought I'd give this one a go and again it was on sale at superdrug for just £1.98. It say's that it has skin loving ingredients to reduce puffiness and wind down tired eyes, and i'm actually really loving it. Its refreshing and gentle on the skin and im really enjoying Simple products at the moment, they are just always full of amazing ingredients for the skin.
I use this morning and night and would diffidently say its worth giving a go.

KURT GEIGER TO DINNER

A quick photo bomb from the cat.. thanks socks!

How beautiful are these nude Kurt Geigers!? I have had these almost around a year now and i am just absolutely in love with them. I haven't had a chance to wear them in a while so i thought i'd bring them out to dinner last night.
There's something about a good pair of heels that can just bring a basic outfit to life and well you just can't feel under dressed when your heels extend your height by about 6 inches.. There killers!

I tried to get these pictures snapped quickly before the sun went in too much, so the lighting is quite bad, oh and minus my cat and dog photo bombing almost every picture! but hey, that's the joys of photographing in your back garden lol.
Enjoy your weekend!

A NEW FIND - B.PURE MICELLAR WATER

I love switching up different beauty products, especially cleansers as i find some just don't leave my skin feeling or looking its best, which can make it difficult for me to part with a lot of money to buy a cleanser when i don't know how my skin will react to it. I wanted something quite gentle, that would still give my skin a good clean. I havent really heard all that much about the brand B.pure but when i came across it in superdrug it was half price, reduced from £4.99 to £2.47.. what a bargain! so i thought i'd give it a go.

I was very pleasantly surprised by this product because i only usually buy brands i know a lot about to be safe, but you cant really go wrong with a price like that. Anyway it is actually one of the best cleansers i have tried so far, its gentle on the skin, leaves your face feeling smooth and clean and has a nice refreshing scent. It comes in a 150ml bottle and i have used it ever morning and every night so it has gone quite fast. I just use a cotten pad and sweep it all over my face. I would efficiently be inclined to try some more products from this brand, the prices are just amazing.

ANASTASIA BEVERLY HILLS DIPBROW POMADE!

I am always on the hunt for a good brow product and i had heard so many good things about this Dipbrow pomade by Anastasia Beverly Hills, so i finally got round to buying it and i am SO happy i did! I ordered from a website called Beauty Bay for £15.
On the website you can chose from five different shades to match your hair, i bought the shade dark brown and i apply it using the MAC 266 small angle brush.

The dipbrow pomade is described as being waterproof and smudge proof and it is exactly that, once it's on it ain't going anywhere, it takes a lot of scrubbing!. The consistency is a mousse like formula that just glides on like a dream and it can be applied as heavily or as lightly as you prefer. The application process is much easier than i imagined, i managed to get the hang of applying it fairly quickly, although i learned that you need to work quite quickly as the product drys fast.

Overall i am in LOVE, it is definitely the best brow product i have tried so far and it is well worth the price tag!

A QUICK SUMMER ESSENTIAL UPDATE!

'Benefit- Big easy'

Its that time of year again! Summer has fast approached and the temperature outside is rising and as much as i love summer, the heat can really make me feel sluggish, especially when it comes to my makeup!
On a hot day like today you may not feel like slathering on the foundation and coating your face in powders, but you want a close alternative, that's why i love this Benefit Big easy!

This complexion perfecter is a cream-to-powder formula with an SPF of 35 which is just what you need if you will be spending the day in the sun. It gives a lightweight finish and just evens out your skin, with out looking heavy. I took this on holiday with me last month and it was my absolute go to product every day and will continue to be whilst the sun is still out.

MY BIRTHDAY CELEBRATIONS!

So I've just recently celebrated my big 18th and it was the first birthday for as long as i can remember that i didn't actually have a big birthday bash planned. I guess this is because my boyfriend and friends had planned for us all to go for a week away to Majorca as a birthday present just 5 days after my birthday so i was quite happy to spend my big day just having fun with my family.

Considering i wasn't expecting to do much for my birthday it turned out to be such a great day! I got some lovely gifts and spent the first half of the day (if i'm honest) dying my hair and eating cupcakes! My mum booked for us to go for a meal as a surprise that evening to this gorgeous Italian restaurant called 'Zizzi'.

These are a few of the snaps i got outside of the restaurant.

The food was amazing and this life size horse soon became the life of the party! The staff allowed us to climb it so as you can imagine after a few glasses of wine we where like kids in a candy shop!

NIVEA DAILY ESSENTIALS

I am absolutely loving Nivea at the moment after these 3 new finds!
I have been using the 'Gentle exfoliating scrub' over the past month and i have not got one bad word to say about it! It is a scrub for normal/combination skin and it claims to "exfoliate skin while removing dead skin cells" and it does exactly that! I use this three times a week, usually in the evenings and it just leaves your face feeling silky smooth and clean, removing any left over make-up/dirt that was on your face previously. If you have normal/combination skin and are looking for a gentle but effective exfoliate then i would definitely recommend this one!

Just recently i was looking for a new face wash that i could use daily and i decided after being impressed with the Nivea facial scrub that i would try out the 'Cleansing cream wash'. This also is so lovely to use! Its a thick creamy wash that you just rub all over your face and wash off, it leaves your skin feeling so clean and moisturised and i use this every morning!

Last but not least is the Nivea 'Express hydration primer'. I bought this a few months back whilst in need of a new primer, i had heard good things about it so i thought i'd give it a try. The texture is sort of watery, like a mix between a primer and a moisturizer, which i guess makes sense with it being a moisturiser and primer combined! I use this right before i apply my make-up and it just works wonders! My concealer and foundation just glide on beautifully with this as a base and it really does hydrate and wake up your skin. This is now definitely my go to primer.
Have you tried this primer? i would be interested to hear your takes on it!
